Cosmetic Surgery For the Eyelids (Eyelid Lift)

As we age, our skin can lose its elasticity. This may cause the skin to sink or sag, and for our overall appearance to lose its luster. By surgically removing excess tissue or folding in the lids, Dr. Wilkes can restore and rejuvenate the area around the eyes, giving a more youthful appearance. This type of eyelid procedure is done in one of our outpatient surgery centers.

Reduction of Bags Around the Eyes

Many patients complain of bags under and around the eyes, giving them a fatigued or grumpy look. While these bags are typically harmless, many people choose to have them removed through a surgical procedure known as blepharoplasty. During a blepharoplasty procedure, Dr. Wilkes removes the excess skin underneath the eyes which results in decreased puffiness and a more rested and joyful appearance. Blepharoplasty is an outpatient procedure and is done in one of our ambulatory surgery centers.

Brow Lift (or Forehead Lift)

As the muscles in and around our forehead age, they can develop slack which prevents them from keeping the skin on the forehead tight. This can lead to a permanently concerned or scowling look on

patients faces. By performing a brow lift, Dr. Wilkes is able to reset the patient’s brow, alleviating the drooping forehead skin and giving patients a lighter, more youthful look. brow and forehead lifts are outpatient procedures. They are done in one of our outpatient surgery centers.

BOTOX Treatment

As we age, regular wear and use of the skin around the eyes can create furrows, wrinkles, and crows feet. Botox, short for Botolinum Toxin, is an injected compound that releases these aging wrinkles. Patients will typically receive treatment periodically throughout the year to maintain their rejuvenated appearance. Dr. Wilkes is able to administer these treatments during a clinic appointment in any of our four locations.

Kybella Treatment

The skin and fat located under the chin, known as submental fullness, can be a problem area for many people and is difficult to diminish, even with a healthy diet and exercise. Many patients are hesitant to undergo a surgical procedure to diminish their submental fullness. And now, you don’t have to! Dr. Wilkes is pleased to offer his patients a non-surgical option for correcting submental fullness. It’s called Kybella. Kybella is a series of FDA-Approved injections that diminish the double chin by destroying fat cells in this area. A great thing about Kybella is that no anesthesia or surgery is required, only a few, fast treatments. Kybella destroys fat cells and prevents these cells from storing or accumulating more fat, so further treatments aren’t expected once you reach your appearance goal.

Juvederm and Other Facial Fillers

Another aspect of how the face ages involves volume loss, which causes lines and wrinkles around the eyes, checks and mouth to become deeper and more pronounced. Dr. Wilkes provides a variety of non-permanent facial fillers to improve the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles around the face. These treatments are injected into the problem areas to provide a more youthful, refreshed look. All of these treatments are administered during a clinic appointment in any of our four locations.
