Once I saw how the practice of ophthalmology – and specifically cataract surgery – has the potential to make such a dramatic impact on an individual’s quality of life, I knew that’s what I wanted to pursue. Soon after, I made ophthalmology my emphasis and now I get to do this every day."

To treat each of my patients with the same quality of care I would give to my own family. My hope is that my patients are able to readily observe my genuine effort to make them feel comfortable and truly cared for.
What I love about practicing at McFarland’s:
I feel that the most unique and valuable aspect of our practice is the staff (front office, technicians, surgery counselors, nurses, etc.) and physicians who work at MEC. I have never felt part of a team that places such a high value in community and quality of care in the work we do, day in and day out. Our high quality of care is partnered with the latest ophthalmic technology that enables us to truly give our patients outstanding care. I’m always excited to incorporate novel advancements in the field of ophthalmology to optimize patient outcomes at MEC.
Favorite part of my job:
Work can be very challenging at times but seeing the genuine joy of my patient’s following surgery never gets old. There is nothing more rewarding than giving sight back to my patients and observing the excitement that follows. I also enjoy building relationships with my patients and being able to provide quality comprehensive ophthalmic care for them as they age. It is a blessing in my life that I get to go to a job that I love on a daily basis.
