Stephanie Willett, OD

Optometric Physician

Why I wanted to get into eye care

I grew up in a small town and used to babysit for my Optometrist, ultimately through the relationship with that family, I knew I wanted to be an Optometrist when I was 15 years old.

My philosophy

My philosophy is to take care of my patients and give them the care and concern that I would give to my own family.

What I love about practicing at McFarland’s

I really appreciate how McFarland’s is so supportive of their employees. They are always looking for ways to make us feel valued. They make every effort to get us the equipment and personnel we need to practice to our best ability.

Favorite part of my job

The relationships I have developed with my patients over the last 25 years is my favorite thing about practicing Optometry.  Next would be taking care of geriatric patients – love the over 80 crowd!!

Something I would like my patients to know about me

I love to read, I always have a book with me and typically read around 2 books a week – fiction only, no scary stuff. I am old school and go to the library, nothing beats a book in my hand.  Also, I love to cook.

"Dr. Willett is a great doctor! She takes times to discuss things and doesn’t make you feel hurried. Her staff is a delight as well."

"Dr. Willett is the best!!! ️Love her chairside manner and it shows in the way the support staff extends themselves. She is a servant leader and genuinely works towards healing care - every time. I wouldn’t trust my eyes to anyone else!"

– K. Lewis

– Taylor Harvey

"This is my rating after the removal of cataracts from both eyes. It's been a process, but the results are nothing short of amazing. Before Dr. Heather Bartels did both surgeries, I had 2 pair of bifocals and still had problems reading small print. Today I picked up one pair of glasses at the Hot Springs location, single vision reading glasses. I am very pleased with the outcome. Dr. Bartels is an extremely competent surgeon as well as being courteous during consultations. Dr. Seelinger did an excellent follow-up routine before I got my one pair of glasses. The staff at the Hot Springs office were professional and courteous as well. My recommendation to anyone with cataract problems: Dr McFarland, Dr Heather Bartels, Dr Mason Seelinger. I love not having to wear glasses, except to read."

– Geezer

"After my stroke, I needed glasses to help me balance, Dr. Willett helped me!! After cataract surgery with Dr. Hoffman, I can see as well as before my stroke!! These two doctors are worth seeing! And they have the best staff!"

– A. Scott
