Since around 5 years old, I knew I wanted to be a doctor. But it wasn’t until I started an internship program through my high school that I was inspired to become an Optometrist. The doctor I worked with demonstrated to me how the profession of Optometry could encompass all the things I was looking for in a career. I wanted to impact my community, be an advocate for preventative health, and work in a profession where I could develop strong patient relationships year after year.
My patient’s vision is a top priority but also their visual skills, eye health, and overall health. I hope that my patients understand that I genuinely care about their health and wellbeing. My patients should leave their exam feeling like they have received high-quality and thorough eye exam and that I have given them the level of care and attention they deserve.
Mcfarland Eye Care was always on my radar as a place I would love to work before I even went to Optometry School. I feel so blessed to work with such talented physicians and caring staff. I truly enjoy coming to work every day and working with our team to serve the best patients in Central Arkansas.
The most enjoyable part of my job is building relationships with people. I love being able to improve and persevere vision for my patients, year after year. I especially love seeing a patient’s vision improve after cataract surgery and also watching the progress children make after getting their first pair of glasses. Optometry is such an exciting field of medicine! I’m grateful to get to be a part of it.
I live in Little Rock with my husband, Zach, son Charlie, daughter Bristol, and their adorable dog, Amos.
