Your Vision Should Keep Up With Your Life

Trying to watch a movie while lying down without your glasses digging into your face. Spending extratime every morning cleaning, inserting, and adjusting contact lenses. Dealing with dry, irritated eyes bythe end of the day—or realizing you forgot your contact solution after you’ve already left home.

Glasses and contacts may help you see clearly, but they can also add small frustrations to nearly everypart of your day. LASIK may help reduce your dependence on corrective lenses, giving you greaterfreedom from the moment you wake up to the moment you fall asleep.

Is LASIK right for me?

LASIK can treat nearsightedness, mild to moderate farsightedness, and astigmatism, but it is not right forevery eye. Your prescription, corneal health, age, overall eye health, and vision goals all matter.

You may be a candidate if you:

  • Are 18 or older
  • Have a stable prescription
  • Have healthy corneas
  • Want to reduce dependence on glasses or contacts

If LASIK is not your best option, our team can discuss other forms of vision correction, includingrefractive lens exchange when appropriate.

The investment comparison

You’re Already Investing in Your Vision

Glasses and contacts do not feel like one large purchase because their costs are spread across years. But replacement lenses, frames, contact supplies and upkeep can add up.

Annual daily-contact costs commonly vary based on lens type and prescription; one current estimateplaces typical full-time daily lenses around $400–$600 per year. Eyeglasses commonly cost around$200–$300, although actual costs vary substantially.

LASIK is not simply another expense. It is an investment in spending less time—and potentially lessmoney—managing your vision over the years.

But the financial side is only part of the value. LASIK may also mean fewer rushed mornings, fewer dry-contact days and more freedom to experience everyday life without constantly reaching for correctivelenses.

This example is for educational purposes and is not a guarantee of individual savings. Actual costs varybased on prescription, lens type, eyewear preferences, insurance benefits and replacement frequency. LASIK is intended to reduce dependence on corrective lenses; some patients may still need glasses forcertain activities or as their eyes change with age. Routine eye examinations remain important after LASIK.
